Daily Posting
I have been finding new ways to share information and ideas. I will keep this blog for posting thoughts and ideas. I have been getting seriously back into my older computer systems (Atari, Amiga). Also, I have been getting into building some systems. I have built a small computer that was designed around an Amiga 500 computer. The mastermind behind the project is Dennis Van Weeren, and what a talented guy he is. You can find more about the project and the design from his site at http://home.hetnet.nl/~weeren001/. I have found a service called Flickr which may serve me better for image sharing. The internet is awesome, and at times overwhelming. If you are interested in see my Flickr pictures http://www.flickr.com/photos/firedawg/.

Current Basement Update
I have completed the framing, electrical, lights, plumbing. I'm now on running the audio and video cabling. I simply began with the idea (no real plans) that I would quickly throw together a couple of rooms with receptacles, lights, and sheet rock and some paint , then presto finished basement. But no, I had to complicate things by adding a home theater, wet bar, arcade room, fitness center, and a full bathroom. Well, as you can imagine the additional work required and the necessary know how. This increased the complexity of my simple project, hence the two years later time frame. If you get anything out of my next series of post regarding this project, please take note "PLAN" your project, it is very important to the overall satisfactory completion. When I mean satisfactory, I mean that everything is planned from electrical, plumbing, audio and video cables, ethernet lines (cat5e), and so forth. I will take a couple of days and organize my pictures and layout designs and post them here. Hopefully, someone out there can benefit from my layouts for structured cabling, electrical wiring, lighting, and the financial considerations. Yes, you better have a budget in mind if you take on a project like this because your wish list can get pretty expensive. Well, stay tuned.
